THE CIRCUS
Ladies and gentlemen behold
Welcome to the show
Here lie the wonders of the world
Form a single row
If you're feeling really brave and bold
Let your mind blow
Mysteries are waiting to unfold
Welcome to the show
Have you seen the boy with lobster hands?
Step into the tent
Have you ever seen the human skeleton?
Step into the tent
Have you ever seen the camel girl?
Step into the tent
Have you seen the lion faced man?
Step in for the show
The show, the show, the show...
Hey how howdy how...
The circus is tonight in town
for just a day you 'll be happy as a clown
but don't forget nothing comes in life for free
there is always a fee
A fee, a fee, a fee...
Oh y oh
Welcome to the show
Pay attention for you'll hear
the singing of the crow
Oh y oh
Welcome to the show
You can watch but never touch
the feathers that aglow
Oh y oh
Welcome to the show
when the bird begins to sing
the devilry will flow
Oh y oh
Welcome to the show
as your master walks among you
black feathers will grow
The circus is tonight in town
for just a day you 'll be happy as a clown
but don't forget nothing comes in life for free
there is always a fee

SLOW TRAINS ARE NEVER LATE
Over the hill, soon will arrive
last train for the town tonight
Rope to the left, gun to the right
take a breath and everything is fine
Onward to the locomotive
Onward with a soul emotive
Onward to the dark train smoke
Live for the anticipation
Live for the agitation
Live for the ending of the joke
Gold in the coach, food on the floor
something here is very wrong
Empty the cab, no one around
something else is watching all along
Music of souls resting
Music of heartbeat cresting
Music for those to depart
Onward to the last desire
Onward to the pit of fire
Onward to fuel the daemon’s heart
Over the hill, soon will arrive
last train for the town tonight
Over the hill, soon will arrive
hell awaits an offering tonight
Over the hill, soon will arrive
slow train for the town tonight
Over the hill, soon will arrive
slow train for the gates of hell tonight

CARDINAL SIN
The lord giveth
the lord taketh away, anyway
The saints and sinners
the ones in between, never win
The lord's servant
the lord's chosen one, will be done
For he has to
for he has to sin and give in
I stand here alone and weary in the house of God
I have played my part for Him I say
Holy water on my fingers to clean up the blood
then I pray
Then I pray for new prey...

The Town

THE TOWN
Hidden in the hills of the far and wild west
there's a town no one calls by its name
Nothing seems to bother the good folks of said town
but the devil lies in details
Houses are all even and the people living there
never ever leave their home at night
Chimneys are all there but you'll never see the smoke
since no fireplace has wood to burn
And the nights seem all darker even if you have your eyes closed
every shadow leans to swallow even if you have your fingers crossed
There's a time every year, when the moon and stars align
that the pastor rings a single bell
And the lantern by the well, in the center of the town
burns a fire from the depths of hell
And then the mist / rises from the well / filled with waters / drawn from river Styx / And then the dead / follow the light / for they will feast / 'til morning comes
Searching for the homes, with the sign on the door
of the blood that is still warm and from innocence is drawn
from a child of their own, who will never see the sun again
The poor people of this town, they have lived much past their lives
damned to pay this sacrifice, because once upon a time
they thought they could outrun and maybe cheat the lord of death himself
And there's a time every year, when sun begins to rise
that the pastor rings another bell
And the kids that never grow, form a line with the dead
which they follow to the old damn well
But they know that soon enough, when the moon and stars align
and the pastor rings a single bell
they will march again on earth, to the town they will return
and they'll have their parents meet their hell
